I am an artist, a visual communicator and most of all, a story teller.” Although Jim calls the Hocking Hills region of southeastern Ohio the "home of his creative soul," his photographic expeditions and journeys have taken him to major National Parks in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. He has also enjoyed photographing other scenic and historic locations, including many Civil War Battlefields, in Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Jim Crotty studied Professional Nature Photography under David Middleton at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana.
